The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) empowers the media and marketing industries to thrive in the digital economy. We field critical research on interactive advertising, while also educating brands, agencies, and the wider business community on the importance of digital marketing. The Marketing Intern will provide support to the IAB marketing team to ensure we drive forward the organization's efforts to position itself as the industry thought leader in media and marketing. This is a broad role assisting in a range of marketing activities across email, social media, PR, website and events. The ideal candidate would be a detail-oriented self-starter, with strong writing and project management skills. Experience with WordPress, HTML/CSS, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign is a plus but not required.
The Marketing Intern is a temporary position (late September through early/mid-December). IAB interns are paid an hourly rate of $11/hour. The preferred candidate will be available to work approximately 35 hours per week, but qualified candidates who can only work part-time may be considered.
In this role, the Marketing Intern will:
Contribute in the creation of in-market communications and marketing tactics such as web banners, social media copy, SEM, email promo, etc.
Produce campaign performance reports, providing key insights and optimization recommendations that prove ROI with data.
Participate in brainstorming and critical thinking around IAB priorities such as digital video, mobile, data and diversity.
Update press releases, web content and newsletters for distribution to IAB members across all channels including images, links to media coverage, member research, staff profiles, blog posts, and event information.
Conduct market research to support client initiatives and identification of further opportunities in the marketplace.
Assist in the creation of member presentations that articulate IAB's value proposition.
Build contact lists of industry professionals using a variety of resources from Redbooks to LinkedIn.
