Marketing has grown and changed dramatically over time. We are at a critical phase in our team development, where we are adopting a centralized approach to marketing that will build and train campus-wide champions of the brand. As such, we need a Marketing Director who can help us execute operational strategies that support our centralized efforts.
The Marketing Director is responsible for establishing and implementing strategic and tactical communication plans designed to capitalize on market opportunities and generate demand. The Marketing Director will build a creative, integrated, multi-channel marketing department that builds brand awareness and reputation, provides a steady ow of enrollment inquiries and measures the return on marketing plan investments. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful and have impeccable communication and leadership skills.
Leverage external research to generate ideas/insights for operational improvements
Help build and maintain relationships with operations teams throughout the college to share best practices, ideas and relevant knowledge
Develop a comprehensive and strategic marketing plan with measurable objectives
Implement strategic plan with support of the cabinet and assistance from the Marketing & Communications team
Manage the creation of all marketing collateral and signage
Perform market segmentation, targeting and positioning for various areas of the college
Work directly with the Vice President of Enrollment to support their efforts
Analyze and develop online search engine marketing process
Oversee advertising, public relations, social media and community relations activities
Change the culture of Marketing & Communications at Bethel, bringing the decision-making to one central team
Identify and maintain all vendor relationships for advertising and marketing efforts
Maintain knowledge of marketing trends, developments and best practices
Cultivate network of freelance talent
Strong understanding of the creative processes involved in successful marketing, design and branding projects required
Understanding of social media branding and strategy

This position will manage a four-member Marketing & Communications team.
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in marketing or related field, preferably in the higher-education or nonprofit setting
