Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Marketing, the Valencia Campus Assistant Marketing Coordinator works together with the the Assistant Director of Marketing in carrying out the daily operations of marketing content and communications. This person maintains current knowledge of content in all Admissions marketing collateral. Reports on effectiveness of outreach campaigns and customer behavior. The general area of focus for this position include online marketing, social media, SEM, web usability and implementing email campaigns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for the following areas:
Manage all content on Valencia.berklee.edu site that are responsibility of Enrollment
(graduate, summer and undergraduate programs) and assure that content is up to date and
accurate. Coordinate with content responsible for different areas (student affairs, academic,
BSA, careers, etc.) and make sure that the website is up to date
Create content, work with internal clients to ensure accurate messaging
Send content to the proofing team in Boston before going live
Identify for appropriate media selection from our Flickr & Youtube accounts to
accompany content, work with designer to optimize for web
Check for appropriate SEO considerations and that styles are correct
Publish content and media on web
Create new design/usability elements to make constant enhancements
Work with designer at the agency for new graphic element proposals, communicate our needs and work together
Work with developer at the agency for new usability proposals, back-end improvements, and implementing new designs, with working knowledge on the technical side of websites to communicate better
Work with developer to resolve web-related technical and security issues.
Responsible for graduate programs, summer programs, and FYA program website.
Assist with social media posts and promotion on our web berklee.edu
Ensure that content on berklee.edu reflects the Valencia campus accurately, and coordinate with Boston teams for updates.
Create content and writing emails coordinating with appropriate parties to ensure accuracy of content for inquiries, applicants and students for all program categories (graduate, summer and undergraduate programs -except BSA-) and send to proofing team in Boston.
Work collaboratively on this with Admissions and the marketing automation manager.
Promote admissions events with our leads and online - both physical and online information sessions.
Ensure all communications are delivered and received by each applicant.
Coordinate inquiry communications with admissions to ensure workload permits time for increase in emails.
Coordinate with admissions to send electronic applicant decisions in a timely manner.
Accept packs: together with the Admissions team ensure correct content with appropriate parties, create mail merge system to print all accepted applicant letters, maintain inventory of print materials needed for accept pack, assemble accept pack with individualized letters, and assure delivery of the pack with the mail courier in a timely fashion.
Together with the person responsible in the communication department in Valencia make sure that the content in the communication channels flickr, facebook, etc. (e.g. photo albums) are coordinated so both departments can take advantage of the content.
Together with the Assistant Director of Marketing and the person responsible for social media work on a social media and support creating content and adapting the strategy to the needs of the programs/campus.
