Seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and hardworking individual with excellent writing, social media, organizational, communication, and media relations skills. PRIMARY FUNCTION Primary responsibility for marketing, public relations, publications, and social media, for Carnegie Science Center on-site STEM and special public events. The Events Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for writing, editing, and production of a variety of print and electronic communications intended for Carnegie Science Center’s various target audiences. The position will work closely with the other Marketing Communications Managers in maintaining existing media databases and with the Web Experience Manager in providing content for the Science Center website. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, marketing, or related field or equivalent experience in an agency, non-profit organization, or corporate communications department. Five or more years of experience in marketing, media relations, and social media engagement. Must have excellent writing and computer skills, as well as strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and photography required; Must be deadline-oriented and able to work well under pressure. Must be positive, optimistic, and energetic.
