Primary Responsibilities:Manages Medicaid Community Outreach team Create and develop community events that target potential members in the market within budgetary guidelines Sets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance Develops community-based relationships that generate events and/or sales opportunities Creates and manages marketing strategy for community events, in collaboration with key community leaders, partners, to enhance the UnitedHealthcare brand Develops and builds professional relationships with new and existing community-based organizations (CBO's), provider offices, faith-based organizations, food pantries, etc. and perform other activities to enhance UnitedHealthcare's presence in the community Represent UnitedHealthcare on committees of significant CBO's and at networking meetings to promote company branding and mission Ensure community outreach team works/collaborates with sales team Partners with team and managers to schedule, set up, staff and break down events May oversee work activities of other supervisors Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges Influences or provides input to forecasting and planning activities Create a sales driven environment Demonstrate flexibility and work with ambiguityProduct, service or process decisions are most likely to impact multiple groups of employees and/or customers (internal or external)
Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experienceHave State of Massachusetts accident/ health Producer insurance license or ability to obtain health license within 60 daysExperience managing community outreach team Developed relationships with community-based organizations (CBO's), faith-based organizations, providers, etc.Experience developing market research information and sales strategies Worked in a deadline driven environment, meeting or exceeding sales promotion/marketing targets, managing and prioritizing several deliverablesAble to work some evenings or weekends as required Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)Preferred Qualifications:Understanding of elderly services and programming Prior experience in Medicaid, Medicare or Senior Care Options (SCO) planBilingualPrevious employment in healthcare industry Careers at UnitedHealthcare Community & State.
