About the Role - Marketing & Engagement Executive
The Marketing & Engagement Executive for the Lifelong Learning Network at Northeastern University has overall responsibility for the strategic development and implementation of student engagement and enrollment efforts across the platform, with a special focus on the graduate and adult learner programs. The Executive provides strategic direction and oversight for all consumer marketing and communications plans related to Northeastern University's professional programs, and leads numerous high-level marketing and engagement initiatives in the division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (EMSA). This position will lead these domains, working collaboratively with the institutional senior and academic leadership to establish an overall enrollment strategy that aligns with and supports the brand, vision and goals at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
The Marketing & Engagement Executive will:
Develop and implement an overall marketing and engagement strategy for various types of academic offerings in nine colleges and 5+ regional campuses.
Develop a plan and supporting procedures for recruitment funnel management; including supervising a leadership team, recruitment staff and customer-service representatives who implement that plan.
Serve as a key member of the divisional leadership team, providing strategic and operational guidance on the expansion of graduate and professional programs to new domestic and international markets.
Manage market research and analysis including market segments, engagement effectiveness, enrollment trends and competitor analysis.
Maintain collaborative relationships with the Central Administration, Colleges, Regional Campuses, advertising agencies, public relations and market research firms.
Manage and provide leadership to a team of strategic and creative marketing and enrollment professionals within the department.
Analyze and evaluate data to ensure that the university and its' college's strategic and annual enrollment goals are being met.
Play a key role in the introduction and management of technology-based enrollment initiatives, in particular with respect to those initiatives aimed at improving engagement, marketing, and retention strategies.
Build and work with the Colleges to implement engagement marketing plans related to each market's academic portfolio, leveraging the marketing resources available in each College.

Masters in Communications/Public Relations or MBA preferred. 10 plus years of direct experience in marketing, communications or enrollment. Direct experience developing and implementing strategies to achieve organizational objectives. Highly creative with experience devising effective digital assets, digital campaigns, and web presence. Digital marketing expertise including customer engagement and data driven strategies. Deep knowledge of marketing automation; including lead nurturing, marketing campaign influence and sales enablement. Experience working in higher education or adjacent space a plus; experience in enrollment and admissions preferred. Exceptional communication skills, strong analytical, budget management and leadership skills required. At least 5 years supervisory and management experience; experience with leading teams from various units preferred. Ability to work in a rapidly changing, highly collaborative and networked environment. Must be able to think critically and provide strategic guidance on enrollment-related matters. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Must be able multi-task, prioritize, and work independently. Occasional travel required.
