The University of Hartford, a Division I institution and a member of the America East Conference, Big Sky, MAAC and the NCAA, invites applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director, Athletics Marketing, a 12-month exempt position.
The Assistant AD is responsible for the year-round planning, development, implementation and execution of the marketing and promotion for the University of Hartford’s Athletics department, including generating revenue and enhancing the athletics brand and associated outreach and student spirit groups.
Actively participates in planning, development and implementation of short and long-range Athletics marketing strategies.
Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director, External Relations, works closely and collaboratively to develop an external vision for the department, which includes social media strategy, advertising campaigns, promotional schedules and marketing plans. Assist in the development, planning, implementation and management of Athletics marketing efforts designed to increase ticket revenue and game attendance.
Develops campaigns and marketing materials designed to generate revenue through season ticket sales and group ticket sales.
Provides effective oversight and supervision for the marketing/promotion office, which is responsible for gameday marketing staffing for all home contests. Plans and oversees marketing logistics for designated special events.
Represents the Department of Athletics on internal and external committees. Represents the University of Hartford by engaging in community outreach activities. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required, minimum of three years of progressively responsible management/supervisory experience within an organization. Division I Institution or professional sports team/franchise preferred.
Position will require nights and weekends along with occasional travel.Salary and Other Benefits:

Serves as a member of the Department of Athletics senior management team.
