As the Lead Marketing Copywriter for Enrollment Marketing, you will lead a team of internal and external copywriters in telling the Northeastern University brand story—its value proposition, positioning, differentiators, and compelling student outcomes—that engages a range of audience segments from precollege, undergraduate, graduate and professional program students throughout their enrollment lifecycle.
Under the leadership of the Design Manager, the Lead Marketing Copywriter must demonstrate experience managing and allocating a team of internal and external writing resources that are expected to be responsive, collaborative and nimble within a fast-paced environment with competing and shifting priorities. You must have proven success in copywriting and editing with a portfolio that demonstrates how you can bring the university to life in the hearts and minds of prospective students.
The ideal candidate must be adept at keeping institutional objectives, stakeholder demands, and trending topics in balance with the expectations of students while delivering an impactful and meaningful message that inspires prospective students to engage with us, as well as write calls to actions and advertising headlines that drive them towards enrollment. To achieve this, you must also have a basic understanding of lead generation funnels, lead nurture, conversion strategies, familiarity with SEO, message testing, and optimizing content through analysis and other quantifiable measures.
You will be collaborative, working closely with marketing partners, designers, writers, developers, academic colleagues and institutional leadership to help develop copy direction while providing ongoing organizational support of other writers and marketing partners through editing, copyediting and proofreading.
