Coordinates marketing and communications for the School of Architecture and the Clemson Design Center in Charleston, (CDC.C); Coordinates all CDC.C events, venue use and rentals (internal and external). Serves as back-up to CDC.C Student Services Coordinator and the Administrative Coordinator. Although based in Charleston, this position will need to sometimes be in Clemson for events. JOB DUTIES:
30% - Essential - Communications Coordination - School of Architecture Coordinate School of Architecture Communications, including multiple social media accounts. Coordinate, develop and maintain media for all SoA programs. Coordinate, manage and prepare content as required in concert with school and program leadership. Media to include, but not limited to, print and digital media, newsletters, brochures and other promotions for both internal and external audiences. Serve as the primary graphic and story curator for the School's websites. Design and develop web content and graphic design. Work with the school's webmaster and other web curators, the college's and university's communications staff and Creative Services, to maximize communications and branding.
20% - Essential - Communications Coordination - CDC.C Coordinate CDC.C Communications, including multiple social media accounts. Coordinate, manage and prepare content as required in concert with CDC.C and program leadership. Serve as the primary graphic and story curator for the CDC.C website. Design and develop web content and graphic design. Design, develop and maintain the CDC.C's digital archive, including archival storage of student and faculty work files from each semester. Serve in a liaison capacity on behalf of the CDC.C directors with professional associations, industry, community and alumni. Establish and manage a database of CDC.C professional, industry, community, alumni contacts and other stakeholders.
25% - Essential - Marketing Coordination - School of Architecture Coordinate and manage marketing strategy for the school, based on strategic planning objectives, and identifying core audiences, including prospective students, alumni and friends. In concert with school and program leadership, develop and implement a five-year marketing and communication plan, including identifying advertising strategies, markets and opportunities. Activities may include (but are not limited to): Representing the SoA at events; Photography of significant events, programs, research, and productions.
15% - Essential - Marketing Coordination - CDC.C Coordinate and manage marketing strategy for the CDC.C, based on strategic planning objectives, and identifying core audiences, including prospective students, alumni and friends. In concert with program leadership, develop and implement a five-year marketing and communications plan. Activities may include (but are not limited to): Representing CDC.C programs at Lowcountry events; Photography of all significant CDC.C events, programs, research, and productions; Scheduling and managing tours of the CDC.C facilities to professional, industrial and community members, alumni and Clemson personnel.
10% - Essential - Coordinate CDC.C Events Manage all events taking place at the CDC.C (both internal and external), including: Oversee and coordinate the layout and execution of events, room scheduling, planning and arrangement of chairs, tables, catering, etc.; Internal and external clientele; Secure contracts, revenue and reporting; All aspects of events including technical, logistical, security, financial; Serve as primary point of contact for event rental. This responsibility will require some atypical working hours, including evenings. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree and experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material. RESPONSIBILITIES:
