The University of Pittsburgh is currently seeking a qualified Marketing Director.
The Marketing Director will be responsible for content development, project management, and strategy creation/implementation relating to branding, communications and general marketing for the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence (IEE). In conjunction within the Senior Management Team, the Marketing Director will generate content for print pieces, coordinate the management of electronic communication channels, manage marketing budget, coordination of third-party vendors, assist in all marketing aspects of educational programming and special events, and implement marketing and branding strategies across all five centers of the IEE. This position will also be responsible for overseeing the dissemination of marketing materials via channels desired target audiences and stakeholders while working closely to operate within budgetary boundaries.
The candidate will provide consulting services focused on marketing and strategic planning to member/client businesses. This may include but is not limited to: furnishing clients with marketing advice and suggestions, business development strategy, analyzation of competition and customer segmentation, market research, budget strategy and ROI on marketing investment and overall marketing/branding/advertising effectiveness for the member/clients' business.
In addition, the candidate will develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and other economic development agencies in order to heighten the profile of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence (IEE) and its Small Business Development Center, the Innovation Institute and the University of Pittsburgh. This may include attending networking functions and conducting presentations including business seminars.
