The Vice President of Strategic Marketing is responsible for developing and setting a comprehensive marketing agenda for Emerson Hospital, using data-driven strategy and implementation.
Founded in 1911, Emerson Hospital provides advanced medical services to more than 300,000 people in 25 towns. The 179-bed hospital is affiliated with 300+ primary care doctors and specialists and is well known for its outstanding nursing care and patient-centered specialty facilities that include the Mass General Cancer Center at Emerson Hospital, the Dr. Robert C. Cantu Concussion Center, the Clough Surgical Center, and the Clough Birthing Center, home to the area’s only Special Care Level 2 Nursery for moderately ill newborns.
In addition to its dedication to outstanding inpatient care, Emerson Hospital is committed to making high-quality health care more accessible to those who live and work in the area. To further this mission, it provides cares at outpatient facilities in Westford, Groton, and Sudbury and new Urgent Care centers in Hudson and Littleton. With strong clinical collaborations with Boston’s academic medical centers, Emerson’s patients have access to a tertiary environment whenever needed.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Planning & Chief Strategy Officer, the selected candidate will serve on Emerson’s Executive Leadership Team and will oversee a comprehensive department that includes marketing, branding, digital, social media and public relations activities. In addition to cross-platform brand and message development, positive/productive departmental leadership and budget management, the VP will use market research and analysis to design high impact initiatives that advance key service lines as well as Physician Relations and the Health & Wellness Center. The VP will also roll out a Customer Relationship Management System, and develop and oversee a Reputation Management program for the hospital and its medical staff.
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or other related discipline; 10+ years’ progressive leadership experience in marketing with a solid experience in and knowledge of CRM, market research and analysis, digital marketing, industry trends, and overall knowledge of the media landscape. The selected candidate will be a proven strategic problem-solver, influencer and relationship manager with a results orientation. Healthcare experience is required.
