The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Commerce in the Marketing Area, beginning August 2020. The appointment will be for a full-time, tenure-track position.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and have at least 3 years of previous teaching experience post degree conferral. Applicants should have the demonstrated ability to publish in the field's top marketing journals (e.g., Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Science), as well as perform at a high level in the classroom.
Although the Marketing Area welcomes applicants of any specialty, candidates with a strong background in teaching principles of marketing and consumer behavior, global marketing, and candidates in a position to teach analytics-based courses are especially encouraged to apply.
