The American Trucking Associations (ATA), the nation’s leading trade and lobby association representing the trucking industry, has an immediate opening for an Account Manager on our Sales & Marketing team.

The Marketing Account Manager role sells and markets the benefits of ATA membership and event sponsorship on a national basis through central selling resource within the Featured Product program. The incumbent will assist the Account Manager and Director, Business Development in developing and maintaining marketing materials for the Featured Product program. This position also serves as a “power-user” in the membership module of the Association Management System (Personify) and is responsible for weekly data reporting and monitoring the information collected within the marketing department. The incumbent will assist the Allied Membership team to increase current member investment in ATA meetings, exhibits, sponsorships, and advertising.
Education/Relevant Experience- BS/BA degree, Sales, Marketing or related field preferred plus a minimum of 3 years sales experience required. Specialized knowledge of Association Management Systems, membership database systems, or a complex relational database is preferred. General knowledge of trade associations or professional society preferred.
Skill Requirements- Must have a good understanding of relational databases. Experience with TIMSS preferred. Must be proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Microsoft Access or SQL Enterprise Manager. Strong professional, customer service and communication are required. This position demands a detail-oriented person accepting a high level of responsibility in maintaining the ATA’s data resources and complex AMS application. Must have the ability to train membership staff on applications functionality.
