Monitor the college's primary and social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linked In and works with the Senior Communications Specialist to resolve issues and find solutions.
Assist and provide recommendations in the creation and implementation of social media strategic plan, collaborating with the team in making recommendations to Chief Communications Officer.
Assist and provide recommendations in the development and implementation of paid digital marketing plan.
Stay up-to-date on new developments in digital marketing and social media.
Perform related duties as required.
Position Requirements and Competencies: Candidates will be evaluated based on application materials, including the supplemental questions and personal interview(s), and will be required to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:
Education: Associate degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field.
Work Experience: Two years' experience working in social media, digital marketing.
Technical Experience: Knowledge of the methods and techniques used in creating multimedia communications. Thorough knowledge of current social media platforms and best practices. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite. Advanced writing skills including thorough knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, composition, style and usage, and Associated Press (AP) Style.
Team Skills: Demonstrated success and willingness to participate in a team environment. Ability to work across multiple teams and with diverse team members.
Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide excellent customer service that consistently meets or exceeds the needs of customers and clients.
Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively on a team, anticipating needs and setting priorities to ensure that deadlines are met, while maintaining a positive culture that reflects the overall values of the organization. Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
