Job Summary: Under general supervision of the Coffee House Front-of-House Manager, supervise all aspects of large-volume retail foodservice unit (ASUCD Coffee House) during afternoon and evening hours of operation and supervise student employees who perform the following functions: customer service, food safety, cashiering, and daily cleaning. Responsible for operational efficiencies, coordination of facility reservations and customer outreach events. Serve as AS Dining Services' marketing coordinator, manage marketing calendar and social media/website content.
Physical Demands: -Frequently lift materials and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
-Stand for extended periods of time.
-Work occasional weekend and late night hours.

Minimum Qualifications: -Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume food service environment.
-Experience with cashiering and point-of-sale equipment/processes, including PCI compliance concepts.
-Experience exhibiting exemplary customer service skills and ensuring a positive customer experience in a retail setting.
-Experience holding a team accountable to a high level of performance
-Previous food service management experience including but not limited to scheduling, hiring, training, customer service.
-Skills to utilize PC and software programs, particularly Windows (Word and Excel) to perform record keeping, develop sales reports, conduct inventory.
Preferred Qualifications: -Retail food service marketing experience, including development and execution of a marketing calendar, graphic design and social media account management.
-Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations and practices, HACCP and care and rotation of stock.
-Knowledge of safe lifting techniques.
-Organizational and coping skills for situations of pressure, changing workloads, variable customer suggestions, employee absenteeism, complaints and special requests.
-Skill to deal with difficult and unexpected situations in a professional manner.
-Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty and staff.
-Skill to communicate information verbally and through grammatically correct documentation to employees.
- Leadership skills to teach, motivate and inspire staff.
