Summary Description: Warner Pacific University seeks an experienced, successful enrollment professional to assume the role of Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing. Reporting to the president of the University and serving on the executive cabinet, this person will be the senior administrator of enrollment management and marketing functions for the University, which includes admissions, recruitment, financial aid, and marketing. The Vice President provides forward-thinking leadership for an enrollment management and marketing strategy that is aggressive, innovative, and data informed. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.
The Vice President is responsible for leading enrollment management and marketing for all aspects of the University’s programs (traditional, PGS [Professional and Graduate Studies], online, etc.) and overseeing the financial aid administration for all programs. The Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing will be charged with assembling and leading aggressive, goal-oriented teams, working together synergistically to develop and implement institutional plans to meet enrollment goals that lead to success of the University’s mission, vision and values.
The position will require broad oversight as well as direct management, including a working knowledge of best-practices in student recruitment, marketing and communications, and strategic management of financial aid. Effective communication and networking skills are essential, and a proven track record of working effectively across departments throughout the institution is crucial. Strong marketing sensibilities and the ability to prioritize messages and marketing functions across the University are essential. Additionally, this role will need to successfully engage and utilize consultants, vendors and outsourcing opportunities to maximize the effectiveness and efficiencies of the University’s ability to achieve enrollment goals.
Reflect, articulate and promote the mission, vision and identity of the University, both internally and externally.
Exercise working knowledge of the strategic relationship between the roles of marketing, financial aid and athletics in securing student enrollment and retention, and achieving enrollment and retention objectives.
Provide vision and leadership for the enrollment, financial aid and marketing departments.
Implement a strategic marketing plan to enhance the market position and public awareness of Warner Pacific University.
Directly supervise directors, holding them accountable for performance and assisting and advising them in matters related to personnel management in their respective departments.
Lead in the process of developing annual enrollment goals and an annual action plan to reach those goals.
Effectively implement the annual action plan and oversee the planning and management of all admissions and recruitment efforts including campus visits, direct mail, publications, and web presence, recruitment travel, prospect communications and follow-up, data systems management, etc.
Oversee the planning and management of all financial aid strategy including packaging, discounting strategy, monitoring and compliance.
Develop and monitor plans for effective use of financial aid resources to achieve enrollment goals while ensuring expenditures within budget parameters.
Gather and analyze the relevant data upon which all goals, strategies and tactics in the enrollment action plan are based.
Prepare and manage annual budgets to support admissions, financial aid and marketing activities.
Develop and admission marketing strategy in collaboration with the University’s marketing counsel, ensure development of a comprehensive marketing plan that focuses on ensuring enrollment goals are met and that is in concert with the University’s goals and positioning and that will compel a broader interest in Warner Pacific University from potential prospective student target markets.
Ensure that the marketing needs of the advancement department are strategically planned for and met through collaboration with the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and team. The resulting plan and its implementation will compel increased public and donor awareness that promotes achievement of fundraising and public awareness goals.
Collaborate with the PGS program leadership and/or consultants to ensure that the marketing, enrollment and messaging regarding Warner Pacific University is coherent and aligns with the mission, vision and values.
Demonstrate expertise and collaboration in financial management, including cooperation with the Finance Office of the University in setting and achieving gross revenue, discount and net revenue goals.
Make recommendations to the President and senior leaders regarding annual enrollment goals, marketing trends and financial aid projections.
Coordinate market research and on-going database management programs, while constantly reviewing and analyzing the effectiveness of all phases of the operation and making timely adjustments when necessary.
Recruit, hire, develop, and supervise a highly trained and competent staff that is aligned with the University’s mission.
Serve as enrollment and marketing liaison to faculty and academic support staff.
Serve as a role model for employees and students.
Contribute to the framework, support and implementation of the University Strategic Plan.
Represent the University in a speaking capacity at on and off campus events.
Serve as the University’s public information liaison, ensuring that the institution’s information is reflected accurately in the public sphere.
Represent the University publicly as needed in school, church, professional and other settings to aid in the shaping of the image and awareness of Warner Pacific University.
Provide regular updates regarding the status of operations in all areas of enrollment and marketing, including toward enrollment and discounting goals.
Advise senior administrators and the Board of Trustees regarding enrollment related issues.
Stay current on enrollment management nationally and in comparable institutions.
Participate in Warner Pacific University professional development opportunities.
Adhere to University policies and procedures.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to a Christian liberal arts education by upholding the mission of the University and abiding by the Employment Standards and Lifestyle Agreement.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Five to seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education.
Strategic and organizational agility with the ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels or the organization including internal and external constituencies.
Minimum five years of experience as a supervisor with effective managerial and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of principles and practices NACCAP (North American Coalition of Christian Admission Professionals) and NACAC (National Association of College Admissions Counseling).
Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems and initiate and implement projects independently.
Ability to multi-task, work effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong oral, presentation, and written communication skills including the ability to communicate to students, parents, staff, faculty and external publics.
Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make effective decisions based on facts, data and sound judgment.
Proficient in computer programs including Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel, and the Internet. Ellucian Colleague experience desirable.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Doctoral degree - preferably in Higher Education or related field.
Experience serving as a senior-level enrollment leader.
Experience managing an enrollment office in a diverse, urban environment.
