The College of Education at Rowan University is seeking a talented individual to serve as the Ed.D. Recruiter and Marketing Specialist. This is a part-time position that requires availability during and after business hours. The focus of the position is to serve as the liaison between the College of Education, pk-12 schools, higher education institutions, community colleges, other community partners, Rowan Global Learning & Partnerships, and the University Admissions Office, oversee program ambassadors, and meet annual recruitment goals determined by the program leadership. This is an annual contract offered based upon funding availability.
Recruiter and Marketing Specialist
Work with college, department, and program leadership to refine a strategy for strengthening the Rowan University College of Education’s commitment to diversity.
Collaborate with the Office of Admissions on projects related to prospective student outreach.
Liaise with Rowan Global Learning & Partnerships and Office of Admissions to prepare marketing materials and implement marketing campaigns.
Manage and recruit prospective and diverse students from inquiry stage through matriculation (across NJ and in surrounding states)
Provide information regarding admissions requirements and program benefits to prospective students via phone, mail and personal visits; follows up with mail or phone call, as appropriate.
Participate in visitations and other special events to explain the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership to potential students.
Plan and coordinate multi-site information sessions for program tracks (higher education, k-12, nurse educators).
Oversee program ambassadors’ activities related to recruitment of prospective students.
Effectively use social networking and media to recruit prospective students.
Attend, communicate progress, and provide updates on recruitment and marketing at monthly Ed.D. in Educational Leadership program meetings and at monthly department meetings.
Other duties as assigned
Earned master’s degree in marketing, education, or related field
Experience in successful graduate admissions work and/or graduate recruiting
Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, social justice, and equity in education
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability and willingness to collaborate across multiple entities with various stakeholders (e.g. prospective students, community groups, school teachers and administrators, faculty members, university admissions representatives, and university administrators)
