An experienced media relations professional is required for this role. The successful candidate, who should have a strong understanding of working in a global organization, will be required to build strong collaborative relationships amongst the media, business leaders and professionals in the organization. Prior experience in the media, PR industry and professional services firms is highly advantageous.
The person will be a member of EY Greater China Brand, Marketing and Communications (GC BMC) Team to support the delivery of Greater China business objectives, by facilitating changes through communications. Success in this role rests on sustained development of media relations, creation and delivery of professional media programs as well as well-aligned communications amongst internal and external stakeholders of the organization.
Your key responsibilities:
Work closely with the BMC Team to plan and execute PR plans and events for various marketing programs
Identify suitable media opportunities to effectively communicate EY professional brand, thought leadership and service offerings
Develop and maintain sound relationship with the media
Support social media initiatives and crisis communications
Involve in external agencies management and media monitoring services
To qualify for the role you must have
At least 4 years of relevant working experience, preferably gained in a media organization, a PR agency or multinational professional services firm; financial services experience preferred
Bachelor degree, preferably in journalism, communications or related discipline
Strong media network on both local and national level; sound understanding of the media landscape and its changing trends
Able to offer media insight and recommendation to achieve targeted and quality media exposure
Excellent bilingual (English & Mandarin) language skills; solid skills on writing and editing press and presentation materials, newsletters and speeches
Strong organizational skills, able to plan and manage media events at senior levels
A team player with excellent communication skills and confident to communicate with C-suite executives
Results-oriented and able to work independently under tight deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
