Garden School in Jackson Heights is excited to announce the creation of a new Senior Leadership position. Garden is a small, lower tuition NYC N-12 Independent School in one of the most diverse neighborhoods on the planet. Garden is among the most global of all NYC schools with students and families from across the world. Despite its global character, Garden is a small school with a very tight community. In July, Garden welcomed its first new Head of School in nearly 30 years.
Garden seeks to engage its leadership team, its students, and its community in the development of a strategic plan this fall with an eye towards doubling down on its impressive 100 year traditions and programs, enrollment growth and marketing, and also building new innovative programs that reflect its desire to become a choice school for those seeking a rigorous 21st century education. The Director of Enrollment Management & Marketing is a new position which is critical to the development and execution of the upcoming strategic plan.
The individual selected will closely collaborate with the Head of School, Division Heads, and the Finance Officer on Enrollment, Admissions, Financial Aid, and Marketing. The position is best suited for someone looking to roll up their sleeves, have big ideas, and build a department focused on recruiting and retaining excellent students from the five boroughs, and the near suburbs. At the heart of the position is a passion for relationships, data analysis, and collaboration.

The Director of EM&M will develop, lead, and execute on a strategic marketing plan and strategic enrollment plan while bringing an eye for data to the areas of admissions trends, financial aid allocations, and branding. Ideal candidates will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be versed and comfortable presenting to families, at fairs, and online. Additional requisite skills include leveraging social media and general online, print, and live marketing techniques. Applicants should have experience in, and a strong understanding of, the NYC independent school market and be eager to build bridges with other schools and community groups.
