Winston Preparatory School, an independent private school for students with learning disabilities with campuses in NYC, CT, NJ, Long Island, NY, and CA, is seeking a full-time Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications. This position works closely with the Executive Director and under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, and is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive and dynamic communications and marketing strategy for the school.
Develop an external communications and marketing plan with the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer that aligns with the mission and vision of Winston Preparatory School (WPS) and drives engagement and conversions in all forms of media for all constituents.
Create strategies and unique content for social media outlets (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other platforms) that stimulate follower interaction and sharing.
Serve as Project Manager for new website implementation.
In collaboration with the WPS Leadership Team, develop content for school publications, email newsletters, and additional marketing collateral.
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the data and metrics, insights and best practices, and then implement.
Explore new advertising opportunities and build strategic partnerships to distribute content.
Collaborate with in-house graphic designer on design of online advertisements.
Manage and upload website’s editorial and operational content including images, video, editorial and interactive media on school website.
Examine and analyze site traffic, and monitor website activity and offer suggestions on improving audience engagement.
Manage SEO in collaboration with outside team.
Help maintain and provide support for Parent and Faculty/Staff portals.
Provide website support to other departments.
Bachelor's degree with minimum 3 years marketing and communications experience
Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills are required
Experience with website implementation, content population, and web page layout creation a plus.
Ability to write quickly and in a range of styles for different end uses.
Experience in project development and management.
Self-starter with a drive to make things happen: proven track record of program management excellence and high standards for success.
Demonstrated marketing or advertising experience.
Able to independently manage time and understand the importance of deadlines.
Experience in the design of web-based communications.
Able to work collaboratively with other departments.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced in all social media platforms and online content management.

Students participate in a daily one-to-one session called Focus, designed to serve as the diagnostic, instructional and mentoring centerpiece of their experience.
