Job Purpose: The digital marketing manager is responsible for driving Newton's digital marketing strategy and activities. From amplification of our content and messaging, delivering a seamless UX, ensuring our search strategy is optimal, to comprehensive reporting that drives a test and learn culture, this role is essential in helping to ensure that the journey taken by our audience is as effective as possible, both from a client and commercial perspective. Our digital marketing approach is a key element of the holistic client experience, and aligns closely with the broader commercial and client experience activities of our business.
The role coordinates and integrates all digital marketing activity (both in-house, and via agencies), harnesses Newton's proposition and story, and works in collaboration with the broader marketing and commercial teams to deliver a best-practice digital experience to our audience segments in the UK, North America and AsiaPac. The role collaborates closely with our E-commerce manager, who is responsible for our digital marketing infrastructure, including the website, intranet, client portal, and email platform.
Develop a digital strategy, in collaboration with the Head of channel marketing, that maps digital output to both client needs and our business's evolving commercial priorities
Drive the implementation of the digital strategy, harmonising the various elements of our digital 'toolkit' as effectively as possible across our various channels to create a unified user experience across all touch points that aligns with the wider client experience project
Exploit all existing elements of that toolkit, including our website, email campaigns, social media channels (organic and paid activity), paid search - and introduce new opportunities - in order to facilitate the achievement of our commercial goals, and ensure optimal digital amplification of our brand and content, particularly in terms of search optimisation
Ensure our various digital platforms (website, email, intranet, marketing automation and CRM etc.) are integrated and aligned to deliver our digital marketing goals, with the ability to aggregate data from the various platforms into a coherent reporting framework
Work hand-in-glove with the channel marketing team to define a digital proposition for all audiences globally, and work with all parts of the marketing team (content, channel and production/design) to report and amplify output as a result
Work collaboratively with the wider commercial team and distribution partners to enthuse all stakeholders about the scope for digital marketing to achieve results, to develop audience-centric strategies for achieving those results, and to promote effective, data-driven conversations and internal engagement activity with those stakeholders to maximise the resonance and impact our digital marketing
Establish KPIs and refine an attribution/reporting model for measuring digital campaigns, establishing efficiencies, assessing our return on investment, and to create a framework for roll-out to stakeholders via the channel team and for wider firm reporting via the Head of marketing
Evaluate, work with, and review our digital agency partners and their activities.
