This position, in conjunction with the Associate Athletic Director of Marketing & Fan Experience, oversees the development, implementation, and execution of a comprehensive strategic marketing and promotions plan for all home athletic events for all 17 sports targeting a variety of diverse audiences including alumni, faculty, staff, friends of WSU, administration, and current students. Specifically, this position will have delegated oversight of game production for the football program and directly oversee the marketing of the men’s basketball. This position also manages a variety of public relation activities on-campus and within the community, including the direct oversight of the department’s local advertising. The Director of Marketing and Fan Experience is also responsible for assisting with oversight of the Marketing Department’s Student Internship Program, including the recruitment and hiring of student interns for the department.

A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field AND three (3) years of professional level experience in marketing, promotional or related work. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends on a regular basis. Must have or able to obtain a valid drivers license by time of hire |
