Associate Athletic Director - Marketing and Revenue Generation

The University of Missouri, a Division I institution and proud member of the SEC, is now accepting applications for the position of Associate Athletic Director - Marketing and Revenue Generation. Reporting to the Deputy Athletic Director for External Operations, this full-time, benefit eligible position will be responsible for providing oversight, coordination and integration within athletics to include marketing, ticket sales, attendance, brand loyalty and revenue generation. Additionally, this position will work in conjunction with Learfield Communications. Primary responsibilities of this position to include development of a comprehensive marketing and branding plan for Mizzou Athletics to include ticket sales, ticket renewals, promotions, licensing, merchandising and public relations in support of revenue-generating opportunities, customer satisfaction and overall fan retention. Identifies, design and coordinates mobile applications related to ticketing, marketing and sponsorships to increase fan attendance and is responsible for ensuring that fans, visitors an donors develop a positive relationship of Mizzou Athletics; oversees customer focused ticket sales and operations to include season ticket sales, individual game sales, fan outreach, group and suite sales for all revenue generating sports with expectation to meet annual revenue goals; oversight of activities related to a positive game day experience to include promotion, public address communications, presence of Marching Mizzou, video and audio, efficient and fan friendly parking and concessions and convenient, accessible facilities; coordinates with marketing and development administrators on messaging, campaigns and publication materials. Conducts strategy sessions to help branding and reputation building initiatives; ensures consistency of messaging and brand reputation; works in partnership with the universities central marketing and communications teams, as well as trademark and licensing to optimize collaboration; serves as a member of the senior staff; performs other related duties as assigned. A Bachelor's degree in a related/relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and a minimum of five years' experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred qualifications to include prior experience with demonstrated skill in leading and building an engaged, high performing team that meets outlined goals as well as achieves superior results. Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently. Must be flexible in a fast-paced setting and able to work under deadline pressure. Must provide the highest level of customer service to external and internal clients, partners and customers; must also have the ability to develop and lead a customer service-minded team that is measurable. |
