Position Summary: The Marketing Strategist will develop and maintain an effective public relations and marketing program for The Shevet Glaubach Center for Career Strategy and Professional Development in support of Center's strategic plans. The incumbent will create, implement, and oversee marketing activity, branding, electronic and print-based marketing initiatives and advertising, and website content creation. The incumbent will ensure that initiatives effectively reach relevant audiences and will analyze and report on results of marketing efforts.
Position Responsibilities: - Develop an integrated marketing plan for a high volume office with a robust schedule of events and programs - Website responsibilities include originating and developing content and functionality, content management, delivering training for unit web editors, reporting on website analytics, and ensuring cohesive branding across unit sites - Event responsibilities include managing logistics including parking, car service, security, catering, signage, etc. for all Center events - virtual and in-person, communicating the Center's brand image in each aspect of the production - Gather all relevant content for weekly newsletters from departmental contributors and deliver to Marketing and Communications - Originate and contribute to content - Publish webinars to social media - Create flyers and social posts, and determining proper channels and arenas for all aforementioned based on analytics and comparative data from all efforts - May need to work additional hours outside of normal schedule to meet the needs of the department and division, including some evenings or weekends to meet department needs - Other duties as assigned - Position will work on each campus and remote work will be considered for a percentage of each month
Experience & Education Background: - Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Technical Writing, Journalism, English or another related field is required - Three years related work experience is required - Experience in marketing and business development in higher education is preferred - Experience with iModules or other SaaS Constituent Engagement providers - Experience using Google Analytics and deducting website trends from analytics - Demonstrable experience in creating social, web, and branded content
Skills & Competencies: - Passion for generating creative content across a variety of platforms, including video, social media, web, and written articles - Confidence in writing strong content for a range of audiences under tight deadlines - Able to collaborate and work closely with marketing and communications department, student newspapers, and all internal and external media outlets - Highly organized, self-starting and able to move efficiently among multiple initiatives throughout the day - Proficient using Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media tools - Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with clients or internal stakeholders, manage client expectations, and workflows - Perform in an environment where the future is preferred over the past; must be a forward thinking and strategic individual to create processes not only different than competitor schools, but better
