About the Opportunity: The Associate Director is part of the Khoury College of Computer Sciences (Khoury) marketing team and reports to the Senior Director of Marketing, Communication, Recruitment and Digital Strategy. The Associate Director is responsible for strategic planning, execution and management of all college digital marketing efforts. Primary focus will be on graduate program marketing but will also include brand and content marketing. The Associate Director will develop a long-term strategic media plan for the college and develop a timeline for execution, and oversee execution.
Responsibilities: The Associate Director will work closely with Northeastern's Enrollment Management team to coordinate all marketing efforts and ad spend. The Associate Director will specify creative needs, manage creative agencies and contractors on all content production and copy writing. They will conduct A/B testing and review analytics to maximize performance. The Associate Director will supervise the content marketing manager and her team to develop content marketing plan in support of greater strategic plan. The Assoc. Director will oversee and approve all assets developed by internal and external teams to drive enrollments and grow brand awareness including news stories, graphics, pod casts and video.
The Associate Director will work closely with the Khoury graduate school administration and recruiters at graduate campuses where Khoury offers graduate programming to target the appropriate audiences. They will work closely with regional marketing managers to coordinate all program marketing efforts in region. The candidate will oversee execution of all national and regional digital marketing efforts in concert with EM and regional marketing managers. Including organic and paid social campaigns, digital ads, SEO and web content to execute the plan.
The candidate will be required to work closely with a wide range of groups across and beyond Northeastern including faculty, administration, students and contractors so exceptional communication skills are a must. This position will also be responsible for some content production and the candidate must be a strong writer. Design skills and experience with Adobe products (InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop) and Wordpress are preferred. Candidate must have excellent project management skills.
This position with work with the Director and our selected vendors to produce and maintain all digital assets including web assets, videos, pad casts, digital displays and social assets. Experience managing contract design projects is required. The Associate Director, will ensure that all materials and communications across all of our graduate campuses are delivered to the standard expected by the college and ensure brand compliance. The Associate Director will be an integral part of Khoury' flexible and responsive Marketing team and will assist with all College marketing efforts as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field with minimum of 10+ years of experience in digital marketing and multimedia strategic planning, production and execution. Flexible, creative thinker open to new ideas and changing priorities within a fast-paced organization. Strong project management skills and ability to manage across multiple levels of an organization. Experience working with creative partners. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to think and act both analytically and strategically.
