The Product Sales Group Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.
To lead and manage Citi's Usage & Acquisition marketing team to providing best in class usage programs and experience for Citi card holders.
Protect core drivers of the business by working closely with relevant stakeholders and strategic partners to drive acquisition, issuing sales and revenue.
Enhance Citi's differentiation and competitive advantage by creating a strong suite of usage and acquisition offers for our cardholders.
Work in close liaison with Regional teams and act as intermediary to feed local market requirements for all usage related programs and platforms
Identify investment and partnership opportunities with external parties in the ecosystem in order to enhance Citi's capabilities and value to cardholders
Manage and execute annual budget, people management objectives and oversee execution of usage programs and their related platform enhancements.
Collaborate with cross-functional leads (regional teams, marketing, digital banking, technology, legal and compliance etc) to drive strategic alignment of all common initiatives and priorities.
Support the strategy to optimize all sales channels to deliver a consistent client experience and a multiproduct sales platform.
Responsible for meeting the sales goals for a specific product or product set.
Partner with key stakeholders to optimize processing costs.
Develop and manage relationships with external stakeholders to drive partnerships and deployment opportunities.
Ensure compliance and consistency with Citigroup's Compliance & Control policy and local regulatory guidelines.
Ensure compliance in all internal and external dealings with customers, partners and regulators.
Ensure key metrics are met.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
10+ years related product sales experience.
Clear communication skills and the ability to represent the organization with the leaders of partner organizations. Knowledge of general banking operations and cross-sell opportunities.
