The Senior Marketing Specialist for Brand Integration is responsible for planning marketing and communication strategies for the university through all marketing channels. This involves writing and editing across Baylor’s media outlets and producing high-quality print, digital, promotional, and advertising materials. This position directly reports to the Senior Director of Brand Integration in the Marketing and Brand Strategy Department.
The Senior Marketing Specialist for Brand Integration will enhance and define the University’s brand, advance the University’s priorities in our academic strategic plan, Illuminate, and extend key messages to various constituencies.
The successful candidate will have the following critical attributes:
A Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience in journalism, marketing, or a communication-related field are required.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Effective verbal and organizational skills.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills and an understanding of the different needs of our faculty leaders and communication partners.
Ability to work independently of direct supervision.
Accurately estimates timelines and meets deadlines.

What You Will Do
Serve as primary liaison to school/college/administrative partners; provide research, plan and implement communication strategies, and develop tools, messages, and creative solutions that integrate University priorities and advance partner goals.
Develop strategic communications solutions and editorial/production leadership for divisional plans that advance University priorities through all marketing channels.
Seek meaningful opportunities for faculty experts to engage media through subject-specific interviews and expert commentary that deepens the public’s understanding of complex issues.
Provide project management for other communication tools as needed to support the work of the University; contribute to the training and mentoring of other team members and student writers to help them become contributing members of the team.
Support and assist communication/marketing colleagues and otherwise contribute to the overall quality in the work of the division and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
