Blue School seeks a Director of Communications and Marketing who will have chief responsibility for the school’s overall marketing and communications efforts. This person will sit on the school’s Leadership Team and report directly to the Head of School.
? Partner with Head of School, Board of Trustees, Director of Advancement and Director of Enrollment to serve as thought partner in the co-authoring of the School’s messaging, branding, and marketing strategy
? Ensure all school-wide communications reflect the mission and strategic initiatives of the School and maintain brand consistency
? Develop and oversee annual marketing strategy (with an emphasis on growing admissions, reducing attrition and advancing overall school brand) that includes online, outdoor, print, and social media advertising
? In conjunction with Head of School, Instructional Team, and Directors of Advancement/Enrollment/Admissions, lead annual school-wide communications planning, ensuring:
? Consistent and appropriate communications to constituencies through shared guidelines and management of a communications calendar
? Cohesive messaging and timeline for school communications, fundraising events and campaigns, and admissions/enrollment events
? Create, manage, and distribute formal school-wide communications including weekly bulletins, quarterly newsletters, and Annual Reports
? Oversee, create, maintain, and archive visual media and written materials
? Maintain and oversee school website, including updates, developments, and upgrades
? Manage public relations efforts as they arise - including press releases, emergency communications, and management of media sources
? Act as primary point of contact for external marketing and advertising firms, as well as contracted graphic designers, videographers, photographers, etc.
? Track and analyze metrics and data points for effective use of digital and print advertising
? Manage department budget
? Participate in school-wide events as an active member of the community
