This position is responsible for assisting in the coordination of athletics marketing for the University. The job requires the ability to be a self-starter and maintain/exceed weekly, monthly, and annual goals set forth by the department. Requires a broad working knowledge of marketing, fan engagement, and digital/social media content. Researches growing trends in the industry by collecting and analyzing data to continually enhance job functionality and goals. Will work to enhance community and fan engagement for EKU athletics. Works closely with ticketing and corporate sponsorships to develop relationships within the community and assist with group sales. Supports broadcast and promotion of events by working collaboratively with athletics communications, creative content, and video staffs.
The Athletics Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the Associate AD/Chief of Staff, and is responsible for the EKU athletics marketing objectives by coordinating and implementing marketing and fan engagement strategies.
At least one year of related experience
Experience working within intercollegiate athletics
Customer service experience
Event planning and community engagement experience
