Creates marketing and promotion initiatives for 14 varsity sports including special events, social media, fundraising involvement and community outreach. Assists with developing comprehensive season ticket plans for football and men’s and women’s basketball including social media pushes, community event involvement, speaking opportunities and group sales through analyzing revenue and attendance, allocating budget and identifying key target segments. Manages all floor activity in men’s and women’s basketball and football events assisting with on-floor promotions, script creation, sponsorship presentations, giveaways and in-game details including music, live performers, and video board material. Serves as lead in-house sales contact for corporate sponsorship. Coordinates the planning and distribution of marketing and promotional materials including posters, season ticket applications, schedule cards, radio spots and billboard materials.
Bachelor’s degree in a business field of a related degree from an accredited institution. The position also requires on-the-job training and effective communication skills as well as networking and sales training. The position should have two years of experience, preferably in an athletic setting, beyond the degree requirement. Effective communication, time management skills, appropriate business etiquette, sale and networking skills, organizational skills, and ability to work extended hours, nights, and weekends.
