Senior Marketing Associate

About the Position:
Reporting to the Chief Marketing and Recruitment Officer, the Senior Marketing Associate is a full-time professional faculty member focused on supporting and strengthening the college's enrollment-related marketing efforts. The incumbent serves in a leadership role with faculty program representatives at multiple levels to develop, implement, and assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies and initiatives to support student recruitment and enrollment across CEHD.

Manage and continuously improve upon marketing processes and systems at the College, which are structured on an internal agency model designed to execute a high volume and diverse array of enrollment marketing projects across CEHD. Key areas of oversight include digital content management, college level marketing program management (primarily digital), project request processes and protocols, training of staff and faculty on technology used to support project and content management, and management of creative staff (full-time, part-time, and contract) and client service experience to ensure projects are on time, on budget, of high quality, and aligned with CEHD and George Mason University branding and positioning priorities;
Serve as the College's resident expert on marketing, advertising, and other forms of paid media, and in that role, lead and foster an environment that promotes a culture of strategic thinking and planning;
Build, maintain, and optimize partnerships with external marketing resources (graphic designers, writers, video producers) and centralized marketing resources within George Mason University;
Track the effectiveness of marketing investments utilizing the university's customer relationship management, web analytics, and other assessment tools.
Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field, or training and work experience at a level that equates to an advanced degree;
Demonstrated experience in marketing-related positions (at least three years is preferred);
Demonstrated success in the development and implementation of marketing strategies;
Strong project management skills;
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Agency experience in digital marketing/advertising, branding, or public relations;
Experience working in a higher education setting;
Strong professional development orientation.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
