The Marketing Manager will be responsible for co-creating and implementing the marketing strategy for the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine. Serves as an expert in digital marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), email marketing, and other marketing tactics. In addition, lead the creative development for the school, including overseeing the graphic design work, branded product strategy, and video/photo production. Develop a marketing and content strategy for the website, and also manages the relationship with our agency of record and creative vendors. Additional responsibility include leading a small team of creative professionals to implement various marketing initiatives and build processes for marketing and creative development for this new medical school.
Oversee all marketing initiatives that tell the schools story and raise its profile and emotional connection with students, faculty and other audiences. Works across all external and internal marketing teams (digital/paid media, Customer Relationship Management [CRM], social, etc.) at KPSOM and KP to execute programs.
This includes working with the agency of record and potentially taking this work in-house. Responsible for creative strategy, testing creative, and optimizing campaign performance with agency and/or in-house team.
Set annual marketing and visibility milestones and report on ongoing progress.
Act as primary point of contact for marketing agency, including facilitating discussions between agency and school stakeholders. Responsible for RFP process for new marketing vendors and creative partners.
Directly manage in-house integrated marketing programs, including Search Engine Marketing (SEM/Google search), paid social, display, programmatic, video, and audio.
Manage graphic designer and external creative teams and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver presentations, flyers, brochures, and other materials to be used internally and externally.
Co-own with IT the development of new website material and user experience, including content development, functionality, SEO, and future site redesign.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop a content management process and ownership guidelines to ensure information is compelling, accurate, and current on the website, educational collateral/brochures, school calendars, and other channels.
Lead agency and SEO vendors to perform site/keyword analysis, implementation, and ongoing management, including working with content developers and IT for on-page elements, meta tags, and linking strategy.
Research and select email marketing program(s) that meet the unique needs of the school community. Create process and training for creating, deploying, and analyzing results of email marketing campaigns.
Oversee all photo and video shoots, including production planning, collaboration with school/site stakeholders, on-site coordination, and creative oversight.
Responsible for school branding, including the introduction and refresh of school store, promotional items, and setting guidelines on how to effectively apply branding for various audiences.
Project management for all marketing and creative projects. This includes understanding campaign objectives and stakeholder needs, keeping projects on time and on budget, managing internal workflow and direct reports, reviewing work progress and proving creative feedback, and delivering high quality results.
