This position reports to the Assistant Athletics Director/Marketing. The Director of Marketing/Fan Experience will work in cooperation with other departments such as: Redbird Productions, Ticketing, Facilities, Athletics Communications, Weisbecker Scholarship Fund, Coaches, and Event Management to serve the Athletic Department and Redbird fans. This individual will create and implement strategies to maximize game atmosphere opportunities and in-game promotional activities to produce remarkable experiences for Redbird fans. Further, this position will execute an effective digital, social media, and email campaign, as well as develop and distribute promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, newsletters, and posters. This position will also explore non-traditional marketing opportunities, conduct market research, and oversee grassroots programs. The work environment surrounding this position is creative and collaborative with a team focus where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, or a closely related field. 2. One (1) year (12 months) of professional work experience in marketing, public relations, communications, brand management, or a related professional area. 3. One (1) year of similar full-time experience within a NCAA Division I program. 4. Ability to work night and weekend hours 5. Master's degree in marketing, communications, business or related field 6. Ability to perform detail-oriented yet creative work 7. The ability to multi-task and make informed timely decisions in high-pressure and fast-paced environments
