The Manager, Brand Marketing, Hanes will report to the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing, Hanes, and will be based in our company headquarters in Winston-Salem, N.C. This role is a critical component of the brand team, responsible for helping guide brand strategy and brand guardrails, executing marketing plans (both media buys and brand programs), and working closely cross-functionally (with product management teams, customer sales teams, DTC teams) and with outside agencies to drive success for the Global Hanes brand, which does $1.8 billion in sales annually.
Responsibilities include supporting brand marketing leadership in the development and deployment of marketing plans, media strategy, content creation, and brand initiatives to drive profitable growth and long-term brand equity.
Participates in the development of annual and long range marketing strategies and integrated communication plans to achieve brand sales, growth and equity objectives
Coordinates marketing communications plans with direct-to-consumer team to maximize sales and ROI for Hanes.com and retailer sites
Works closely with creative services partners to ensure marketing consistency across consumer touchpoints, ensuring that product, packaging and consumer communications are aligned with the overall brand positioning
Collaborates with the business unit product managers and HBI Consumer Insights team, on collection of consumer trends, competitive insights, industry updates and sales reports to fully understand our target consumers
Stewards relationships with outside agency partners (creative, PR, media, etc.), often acting as the “internal agency partner”
Manages brand budgets including annual planning and monthly budget reporting
Proactively keeps abreast of industry trends and new technology, sharing knowledge with colleagues
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
6+ years of relevant marketing experience in a fast-paced, consumer-driven, product-oriented company; brand management experience in consumer packaged goods a plus
The successful candidate will have strong communications skills, excellent interpersonal/people skills, strong analytical skills, impeccable business ethics and a track record of delivering business results.
Experience in brand management, marketing communications and media planning (including traditional advertising/media, digital and social media, PR and influencer marketing), e-commerce, and performance marketing analytics
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse/global company
Computer skills, including a high-level proficiency in Excel, Word and Power Point is mandatory
Knowledge of apparel marketplace and retailer trends a plus
Track record of delivering results
Experience with iconic brands preferred
