Carnegie Mellon University's CIT - Dean's Office Marketing and Communications is searching for a Digital Marketing & Communications Director. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing essential support by promoting the exciting research and education happening here at the College of Engineering.
This role will work with our Communication Mangers to help develop, refine, and execute a digital marketing and social media strategy with clear KPI objectives to accelerate and improve traffic and engagement across a variety of audiences and key influencer audiences. The strategies need to be based on competitive analysis and marketplace insight for targeting and re-targeting, operating on the leading edge of the social landscape in both strategy and execution.
This position is responsible for our social media presence and the creation of compelling and engaging content consistent with a top-tier engineering college. The approach to messaging must be integrated and consistent with activities across the team and optimized for success within the social medium. The online experience needs to deliver our brand equity across social platforms and one that allows visitors to be educated and inspired.
The Digital Marketing & Communications Director is responsible for the college's platforms and some of our other domestic and international social channels and related web content. This position measures and monitors social media and web KPIs through analytics to evaluate and drive strategy.
Strategy and tactics are also developed for select engineering master programs to recruit students. This requires integration with department-level activity to ensure coordination throughout the recruitment phase to reach admission targets.
Core responsibilities include:
Directs and develops college, international, and departmental social media content. Creates programmatic digital campaigns, graphics, videos, and other assets to increase visibility.
Manages and develops college and departmental web content
Develops creative strategies, measurement, and analysis
Monitors programmatic and targeted campaign budgets
Other duties as assigned
