Summary University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis is currently seeking a Vice President for Marketing and Enrollment Management to lead and manage the Universitys admissions, financial aid, registrar and marketing functions. This leader is responsible for strategy, planning and administering comprehensive programs in these units and ensures University-wide excellence in branding, enrollment, and marketing and communications in concert with our mission, vision and strategic plan.
The VP will provide leadership in designing the Universitys marketing and enrollment strategies, developing and using high-quality, data-driven, evidence-based decisions, and utilizing best practices in marketing and enrollment management, while inspiring others on campus to work collaboratively in achieving institutional goals. The Vice President must be innovative and adept about growing the University brand, promoting current and new programs, as well as bringing forth recommendations for new recruitment ideas, marketing strategies and programs that match the Universitys mission, resources and market demand. The VP will also provide leadership for the marketing and communication strategies to support fundraising, development and alumni relations efforts.
Reporting to the President of the University, the VP serves as a member of the Presidents staff and participates in institution-wide strategic planning and policy development.
Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need:
Masters degree required; bachelor's degree with twenty years or more of marketing or enrollment experience in higher education is equivalent.
10-15 years of experience in marketing or sales management, preferably in higher education; considerable experience in data-driven enrollment and marketing operations that result in sustained growth in enrollment and engagement among constituencies; a strong understanding of marketing and financial aid leveraging; experience in building and managing a team.
The ability to hire, manage, train, develop and inspire team members to achieve their potential, accomplish their goals, and provide the very best in customer service.
The ability to understand complex student information systems and to use those systems effectively in a management and strategic capacity are required.
Strategic thinking, data-driven decision making, and short and long-term planning skills are required.
Budget management skills and the ability to analyze and interpret statistics and data are required.
The ability to perform work with various computer applications is required.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to work under deadline pressure but maintain attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to work with internal and external groups and constituencies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Capability to build a team; ability to motivate.
Ease in meeting and conversing with a wide range of people in varying social and business situations.
Ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
Sensitivity to issues related to recruitment and retention of a diverse student body are required.
