1. Provides thought leadership on communications strategy; develops and executes a comprehensive, multi-year communications plan. 2. Manages the center's brand identity. Advises staff on brand standards and directs the creation of brand materials, including merchandise, presentations, reports, graphic designs and more. 3. Leads outreach initiatives and partners with all program managers to strategize effective, inclusive outreach. Leads the creation of content and campaigns to promote programs and opportunities across channels (including email, social media, web, and print) and to establish awareness of the center's role in supporting inclusive innovation. 4. Manages all digital channels and projects, including with external vendors as needed. Leads on digital best practices and creates a vibrant digital ecosystem. 5. Determines key stories and leads the creation of engaging, dynamic content for the public, including press releases, news articles, videos, photo essays, and more. Creates strategic communications content calendar and manages the editorial process for all stories from concept to delivery. Maintains close relationship with Yale's central communications office. 6. Builds and manages a student creative team who contribute high-quality, multi-media work to Tsai CITY. 7. Leads complex, high-profile communications projects for cross-campus initiatives involving multiple partner centers and organizations at Yale, including Startup Yale and Entrepreneurship Across Yale website. Lead cross-campus committees focused on marketing and communications issues, directing strategy, vision, and execution for projects. Serves as communications thought leader with partner innovation centers across campus. 8. Takes leadership role within Tsai CITY team and brings key perspectives to organizational decisions and growth. Leads/participates in working groups, office hours, program planning, development of new programs and frameworks and other core initiatives. 9. Additional responsibilities as required.
