Reporting to the Program Director for Columbia???s All of Us Research Program in the Institute for Genomic Medicine, the Digital Marketing and Communications Manager will play a critical role in helping to meet the program milestones set forth by the grant for Columbia University. In particular, this position will represent the NYC Consortium to National Institutes of Health communications team and be responsible for conveying NYC Consortium communications efforts both verbally and in written reports. Working closely with communications staff within the NYC Consortium (Columbia, Weill Cornell Medicine, Harlem Hospital, and New York Presbyterian), the Digital Marketing and Communications Manager will lead the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies to achieve the goal to reach, successfully recruit, and maintain the participation of diverse populations within the Columbia catchment area.
Represents NYC Consortium to NIH communications team in various meetings, conferences, and workshops, and prepares periodic communications reports for NIH. Ensure NYC Consortium partners are informed of national-level communications developments.
Leads the development of a communications/marketing multi-year plan, in partnership with other NYC Consortium communications staff, with objectives and strategies to heighten program awareness against well-defined audiences and then actively manages the programs and tactics that support the plan.
Ensures all NYC Consortium communications materials use NIH-approved branded materials and meet regulatory requirements. Responsible for project management, asset submission and obtaining approvals from NIH and IRB governing bodies for new communications materials as needed.
Responsible for managing communications and marketing projects from initiation and selection of design, writing, editing and photos through the printing process and delivery, production management of video and photoshoots, while utilizing the All of Us brand portal for approved materials.
Responsible for data analytics strategy and reporting on communications and marketing projects including identifying, managing and optimizing best practices and key performance indicators that will drive strategic communications decisions for the consortium.
Work closely in tandem with key NIH stakeholders to optimize and implement communications analytics that inform recruitment and engagement best practices for the consortium.
Liaise with institutional communications leadership (ColumbiaDoctors, Columbia University, NYP) to identify opportunities to leverage established institutional communications channels and institutional partnerships for increased All of Us awareness.
Through communications (internal and external) and marketing channels, coordinates with the AoU Engagement Manager to engage existing ColumbiaDoctors/NYP patients, the Columbia/NYP campus population, and the public in the enrollment of subjects for All of Us. Works closely with the Office of External Affairs to ensure appropriate HIPAA regulations are followed.
Identify and establish relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to amplify social media content and oversee paid social campaigns that promotes the All of Us Program through various approved outlets to increase engagement and drive enrollment.
Monitors social media conversations and trends to identify opportunities for content, conversations or collaborations within Columbia and NYP and with external organizations.
Work with NIH partners to build and manage the joinallofus.org/NYC website content and strategy.
Coordinate with Data Lead to implement and manage the customer relationship management tools in Salesforce and Pardot. Strategize and work with both institutional and exterior partners to track inquiries and retain participants through digital communication. Works closely with institutional and NIH partners to identify and mitigate gaps in integrating customer relationship management tools with enrollment and communications analytics.
Reviews and proofreads all externally distributed correspondence to ensure consistency with All of Us approved brand materials and meaningful impact to target audience.
Monitors budget and incoming payments and delivery/distribution logistics for the production of materials with outside vendors.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requires a Bachelor???s Degree, in a related field preferred, or equivalent in education and experience, plus three (3) years of related experience. Related experience in clinical research preferred.
Approximately 3-5 years of related experience in a communications and/or marketing capacity.
The position requires excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Master???s Degree in a related field.
Approximately 5-7 years of related experience in a communications and/or marketing capacity.
Demonstrated experience in social media content creation and management, media relations, digital design, experience working in a HIPPA governed environment, video production management, and measurement of communications campaigns via web analytics.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, fluency in other languages will be considered.
