Responsibilities The fellowship program trains medical providers in all clinical aspects of radiology. The position is responsible for the daily maintenance and needs of the fellowship and residency programs as well as having a vast knowledge of educational information systems, competency and milestone evaluation systems, and accreditation and regulatory standards. This incumbent directly supports the fellowship and residency program directors in fellowship and residency-related activities for nuclear medicine, breast, pediatrics, and MSK programs and is responsible for all of their administrative components. The position ensures all RRC, GME and ACGME requirements are strictly followed and manages all radiology policies set forth by institutional, state, and federal guidelines and acts as a liaison between program director and residents/fellows; between program director and chief residents; between residents/fellows and faculty; and between program director and institutional GME personnel. The position is also responsible to work with Marketing and Public Affairs, including meetings with internal UC Davis and external contacts, distributes promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, and newsletters. Also prepare department events, such as on-boarding and off-boarding events, such as farewells/retirements, Town Halls, retreats, holiday party and graduations.
Experience managing residency, fellowship, or other educational programs at the departmental level at a major teaching hospital, preferred.
Understanding and experience with ACGME Accreditation Policies and Procedures, including accreditation compliance and reporting requirements
Experience managing the fellow advisement process working closely with the fellowship directors in administering and maintaining ACGME competency-based goals and objectives for each fellow, including maintaining fellow/resident duty hour documentation system;
Experienced user of fellow/residency program systems and data systems, including Accreditation Data System (ADS) and Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
Understanding of institutional and program policies of the National Residency Match Program (NRMP).
Demonstrated experience successfully preparing for and supporting ACGME Radiology accreditation visits
Demonstrated program management experience, including budgetary oversight requiring the planning of budgets and maintaining budgetary accountability.
Advanced word processing skills and experience (e.g.. formatting, tables, math functions, merge functions, graphics, charts) and various computer skills,
electronic mail software, database management software, graphics software, and other standard office desktop applications. Must be able to translate or
format documents between similar software packages, and different platforms, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, Electronic
Residency Application System (ERAS), MedHub, ADS, and Microsoft Outlook.
Knowledge of UC Davis and UCDH structures, policies and procedures.
Strong oral and written communication skills to create and initiate error free documents, including writing and editing skills to compose and proofread letters, financial statements, budget reports and other assigned documents, and to articulate information in a clear, concise, and visually attractive manner, creating error-free documents.
Positive attitude toward responsibilities, faculty and co-workers, and demonstrated ability to interact in a helpful, effective, and informative manner with a wide variety of people, using tact and diplomacy.
Experience managing fellow training license process, including license renewals. Knowledge of UCDH Medical Staff Administration policies and procedures.
Experience with Teamsite, photography, PPT, Adobe Acrobat, Visio and PDF documents to create guides, newsletters, slide decks, flyers and other media
related to department events or marketing materials. Create and monitor budgets for department events.
Special Requirements This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
