Position Summary The Business Development & Digital Marketing Specialist will provide business development and digital marketing support to the department's management team. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer, this position will serve as a key resource on a range of targeted activities that align with the Firm, Practice Group, Industry Team, and Office business plans.
This position requires a client/customer service mindset, strong organizational skills, passion for professional services marketing, and flexibility with hours and occasional travel. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects is a must.
This position may be located in the one of the following office locations: Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; or, Columbia, SC.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Closely collaborate with Marketing Communications Manager on campaign analytics and score for firm's Digital Marketing and Engagement Strategy. • Coordinate pitches, RFP responses, and presentations under the direction of lawyers and business development colleagues. • Monitor and report on key metrics measuring the effectiveness of digital campaigns, track engagement scoring leads, and work with BDM's on "soft leads." • Draft and coordinate key directory ranking submissions, maintain annual calendar of deliverables for rankings, and arrange interviews with researcher as necessary. • Provide support for sponsorships and coordinate activities involved with sponsorship benefits. • Assist with monitoring BD-related budgets. • Assists with the planning and execution of webinars and client events, under the guidance of the firm's Event Planner. • Ensures that department processes and procedures are followed to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the department. • Assist with content marketing strategy, including updating website content and marketing materials. • Maintain department's portion of the firm's intranet. • Maintain and regularly update the experience database. • Assist with onboarding of lateral attorneys and coordinating lateral business plans. • Assists with special projects as needed.
Requirements • A minimum of 3-5 years of marketing or business development experience in law firms or other professional services industry. • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, communication, or related field. • Excellent verbal, written, editing, and proofreading skills • Highly motivated, energetic and proactive
