We are searching for a Marketing Specialist to join our team. We are a fully remote organization that welcomes applicants from anywhere within the domestic United States to apply.
Essential responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain annual marketing communication plans for existing and new products, to include advertising, news releases, trade show participation, mailings, branding and promotion through any other outlets to create demand
Manage the marketing calendar for events, programs, and other key projects
Support Executive Director and all departments on the delivery of digital marketing platforms, as well as traditional channels
Coordinate all marketing and communication initiatives - electronic and print - to drive membership, conference attendance, increase website traffic and brand awareness.
Administer day-to-day marketing activities -- including planning, designing and production -- of all conference and educational events marketing and advertising materials including but not limited to advanced mailings, direct-mail pieces, broadcast emails (text, HTML), social media, website updates, Media Kit, press releases, sponsorship and advertising publications, and other related collateral
Develop content, manage editing and development of COMMON’s website, events, emails, publications, and social media as needed to support business goals.
Partner with other Staff and Committees to refine existing product offerings and develop new products to meet changing needs of membership.
Provide regular updates to the Executive Director.
Oversee Marketing budget.
Evaluate our marketing return on investment (ROI) and member feedback on a regular basis and incorporate necessary changes into future marketing plans.
Provide executive presentation support to the COMMON President and other officers as needed.
Perform design tasks in relation to advertising, email, and publications.
Coordinate sales and fulfillment of advertising programs.
Identify and manage high-quality marketing and production contractors to produce key deliverables.
Serve as a marketing interface and provide support to other committees as needed.
Attend trade shows, COMMON events and represent COMMON professionally as needed.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field required.
Prefer 2 to 3 years' experience working in an association marketing and/or communications role.
Strong interpersonal, presentation, oral and written skills ability to develop strong relationships
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and project and time management skills
Self-motivated with ability to execute on business objectives in a virtual team environment.
Working knowledge of marketing strategies, concepts, and best practices
Good social media marketing strategies, problem-solving skills, digital marketing skills
Experience with design, printing/production, and independent contractor oversight
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud products such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Familiar with a Windows 10 environment, Microsoft Office 365, and Outlook, as well as Web development software (HTML) such as WordPress.
Ability to develop and manage budgets is a plus
Knowledge of IT industry is a plus
Experience with marketing automation and CRM products is desirable.
Knowledge of basic sales processes is desirable
Travel as required.
