GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Digital Marketing Specialist serves as the primary creator, curator of content, and administrator for the College's website, social media channels, and digital student outreach channels. In addition to possessing a high-level of creativity and grasp of modern, digital communications approaches, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong writing skills, a proven understanding of how to leverage digital communications platforms for marketing, a commitment to creative problem solving, strong interpersonal skills, an ability to manage time and multiple projects under tight deadlines, and an eagerness to strengthen the College's external and internal communications strategies on the website and through modern channels. Position is open for remote work with flexibility to travel to campus as needed.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Manages the day-to-day creation and curation of content on the College's website by serving as the "editor-in-chief" of the public facing site.
Manages and creates relevant, integrated content across all College social media channels.
Creates valuable, relevant content in collaboration with colleagues in the Strategic Communications and Marketing office to win followers and fans.
Collaborates with all areas of the College, including Academic and Student Affairs, and Enrollment Management, to provide effective, on-brand, and consistent content across the College website that promotes recruitment and retention of a diverse population of students.
Serve as the College's primary ADA compliancy officer for the website, working to ensure every aspect of the site meets the highest standards of Website Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Serves as a primary liaison to the Content Management System (CMS) agency that hosts the College's public website, logging and managing outstanding tickets and maintenance.
Works alongside Academic Affairs, Information Technology, the College's CMS and other appropriate parties to create and archive the digital College Catalog every year.
Assists in managing the effectiveness of digital and social media advertising campaigns.
Monitors data and makes data-driven decisions on the College's website, social media channels, and mobile application and makes recommendations on how to strategically utilize data in marketing decisions.
Communicates with faculty and staff to determine website and digital communications needs.
Works actively with other areas of the College to ensure a spirit of college-wide collaboration, collegiality, civility, and teamwork.
Provides flexible, responsive and high quality service to all, including students, community, and staff, and continuously assesses processes and procedures and revising them accordingly.
Performs other duties as directed.
Bachelor's degree in closely related field.
Two years of experience managing and creating content for digital marketing communications.
Proficiency in managing and creating content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social networking sites.
Proficiency in HTML coding or relevant web editing and administrative experience.
Strong portfolio of previous digital marketing work.
Familiarity with ADA compliance needs and strategies to monitor and maintain compliance in web settings.
Commitment to the community college mission and vision.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Higher education experience.
Video and social media content creation experience.

COMPENSATION: Annual Salary Range of $65,000 - $70,000, dependent upon qualifications. Full-time, Non-Unit Professional position that includes participation in a comprehensive employee benefits program.
