Columbia Basin College ("CBC" or the "College") seeks a Director for Marketing & Communications to lead the College’s marketing campaign strategy, oversee creative message/graphic development and organization to achieve objectives supporting the overall mission of the College, and enhance the stature and visibility of the College among its many audiences, including current and prospective students, alumni, donors, and current and prospective faculty. The Director is responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans for the College and will work closely with the administrators of each division to ensure that all aspects of brand identity are executed consistently and clearly. The Director for Marketing & Communications also coordinates efforts with the Assistant Vice President for Communications & External Relations for the greatest efficiency, impact and strengthening of College communications. Additionally, the Director is responsible for the oversight of the College’s communications and videography personnel. The Director for Marketing & Communications reports directly to the Assistant Vice President for Communications & External Relations.

Bachelor's degree from an institutionally accredited college or university;
Three (3) years of experience in marketing, brand management and/or the use of marketing analytics to evaluate effectiveness of marketing strategies and tactics;
Extensive experience in marketing, public relations, special events, graphic design, photography, printing, and social media with expertise in planning, writing, editing, designing, production methods and media relations; and
Portfolio of your work including, at minimum, one (1) example of effective marketing-based writing and two (2) examples of successful marketing campaigns.
Supervisory experience in a marketing or communications-related environment; and
Columbia Basin College (CBC) serves the citizens of Benton and Franklin counties in Washington state with two-year associate degrees for transfer to a four-year university, and applied degrees for workforce employment. CBC also provides one-year certificates and basic skills for those pursuing a GED or high school diploma. CBC serves approximately 7,000-8,000 students each quarter.Columbia Basin College now offers bachelor degrees in Nursing, Project Management, Applied Management, Cyber Security, Information Technology, and Dental Hygiene.
