Illinois State University, a NCAA Division I institution, member of the Missouri Valley Conference invites applications for the position of Graduate Assistant for Marketing within the department of Athletics. This 12-month position includes a tuition waiver and a stipend of $1,742 per month. The successful applicant must meet the admission requirements for Illinois State's Graduate School.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: •Execute, revise, and modify the athletics marketing campaign for specific sports as assigned •Create, plan, and facilitate game ticket promotion plans to increase attendance at the athletic home events from students, faculty/staff, and external constituents •Manage and execute in-game promotions at all assigned Illinois State home athletics contests •Activate corporate partnership agreements •Oversee the development and implementation of Reggie's Kids Club, Red Alert, mascot events and other special efforts as assigned •Manage community outreach programs and scheduling external events calendar •Manage publications including brochures, flyers and advertisements •Supervise student interns during daily office hours and on game day •Assist with graphic design
As a part of your responsibilities, you will follow the regulations and guidelines of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Missouri Valley Conference or the Missouri Valley Football conference, the Athletics Department and Illinois State University.
Required qualifications include: •Eligible for appointment as per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook •Degree seeking Graduate Student at Illinois State University
Preferred qualifications include: •Ability to communicate effectively with coaches, media, and athletics staff •Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking, multitasking, and organization skills •Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) •Availability to work nights and weekends •Basic graphic design capabilities and understanding
