The Division of Pre-College and Undergraduate Programs is responsible for developing and offering non-credit and credit courses and programs for 6,000 high school students, as well as Brown University undergraduate and Visiting Students from other institutions. Students participate in programs on Brown Universityâ™s Providence campus, as well as online and in other locations. Within the Division there are teams of staff who are responsible for marketing, admissions, enrollment, academic content and instructional delivery, student life, finance, human resources, payroll, and the various policies and protocols associated with this work. The staff works closely with colleagues from across the University to ensure success, including the Registrarâ™s Office, Office of Information Technology (OIT), Office of University Communications (OUC), Division of Campus Life, and Facilities.
The Marketing Cloud Specialist is a member of the Marketing and Enrollment Services Team and leads the development of Marketing Cloud platform strategy and optimization in alignment with the Divisionâ™s goals in recruitment, marketing, and staff, instructor, and alumni engagement and marketing. The Marketing Cloud Specialist aids in the transition from legacy marketing communication systems and protocols to Marketing Cloud and is responsible for building, maintaining, and continually improving the use of the Marketing Cloud platform to support communication and engagement with a number of constituencies. These constituencies include pre-college students and their families, engaging them from marketing to admissions and enrollment, through to participation and becoming alumni of the programs.
This position will work closely with the Divisionâ™s CRM administrator and staff within the Office of Information Technology to ensure platforms are well integrated, as well as colleagues within the Marketing and Enrollment Services team and across the Division to ensure that internal staff users of the platform are equipped for success. This position relies on both technical capability (troubleshooting, analysis, software development, and administration) as well as functional capability (effective and efficient communication, documentation, technical support, and occasional training).
This position is hybrid eligible.

Provide overall platform support of Marketing Cloud for the Division 30%
Build, maintain, and improve Marketing Cloud user journeys following design and process guidance 25%
Provide expertise in marketing automation processes and campaign management 25%
Marketing Cloud End-User Support, Training, and Documentation 20%
JOB QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in computer science, marketing, management, or related field preferred
2-3 years of related experience
Salesforce CRM experience required
Experience as a Salesforce ExactTarget/Marketing Cloud Technical Administration
Experience with documenting customer problems and software solutions using BRDs, wireframes, diagrams, workflows, and mockups
Experience with working with large data sets
Marketing Cloud Administrator certification
Ability to quickly learn new analytical systems and evaluate the technical components of a product from a business perspective
Creative problem solver who can effectively collaborate with a range of stakeholders throughout a matrixed organization with clear results
Knowledge of email marketing best practices, preferably for nonprofits
Proven self-starter who can identify and analyze problems, and identify strategies to drive innovation and optimization within existing timeframes
Ability to create and refine business processes to most efficiently and effectively deliver digital solutions
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Excellent interpersonal and cross-discipline collaboration skills with demonstrated strength in verbal and written communications
