Job Summary: The Assistant Director of UA Early College is responsible for coordinating and implementing a vibrant learning community through academic and student support programs and services for UA Early College students.
Additional Department Summary: The UA Early College Assistant Director will have the primary responsibility for managing program recruitment and marketing efforts for UA Early College. Efforts include, but are not limited to, research, development and implementation of strategies tailored to high school students and their parents, branding of UA Early College, analysis of recruitment and marketing activities, and overall supervisory responsibilities for the UAEC program. The Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing customer relations management tools, various technologies, program/marketing analytics, and other computer management tools. The Assistant Director will represent UA Early College, as needed, at recruitment events. The person must be willing to work some nights and some weekends and travel occasionally to recruitment events.
Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in education, public relations, communication and/or marketing; OR Master's degree and three (3) years of experience in education, public relations, communication and/or marketing; OR Doctorate and one (1) year of experience in education, public relations, communication and/or marketing. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies.
Skills and Knowledge: The person must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Further, the person must demonstrate poise and ability to relate incredibly well with high school students, parents, and educators. The person must have the ability to work with different cultures and groups of people as well as possess the abilities to be a self-starter and independent worker.
Preferred Qualifications: A master’s degree, preferably in marketing, public relations, communications, education, business management, and/or related field.
