The Team: You will join a creative and enthusiastic global Strategic Marketing Initiatives (SMI) - Credit & Risk Solutions team responsible for generating qualified leads for new business and driving engagement and upsell opportunities with current customers.
We achieve this through building clear and consistent messaging that is focused on customer workflow and delivering this to market through robust, integrated marketing campaigns that comprise a diverse mix of channels including, but not limited to, digital (social, email, advertising) events, strategic partnerships, and sales enablement. We also look for ways to create outstanding and innovative campaigns constantly.

The Impact: The Senior Marketing Manager position is critical to driving the success of the SMI - Credit & Risk Solutions team and will have direct alignment to all relevant client segments and other SMI teams while working with the broader marketing and operations teams to work towards common goals.
Senior Marketing Managers provide critical strategic support to the Associate Director in developing the annual marketing plan and subsequent campaign plans, plus implementing various marketing activities to drive lead generation and engage customers in line with business priorities and targets. Senior Marketing Managers will also play a critical role in stakeholder management, working closely with Product and Commercial leads, using these relationships to build a solid understanding of our business line priorities, solutions, go-to-market strategies, global competitive landscape, customers, and target persona workflows.
The Senior Marketing Manager will also have line-manager responsibilities for the AMER Marketing Coordinator and will be responsible for supporting them through campaign execution, relaying marketing, and strategic priority information gathered from key stakeholders. Key to this role will also be supporting the Marketing Coordinator through their career progression journey, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed, and identifying opportunities to help elevate them amongst their peers and raise their profile with the senior leadership team.
Working in collaboration with the EMEA Senior Marketing Manager, Global Demand Generation segment marketers, and S&P Global division-wide teammates, this role will support multi-channel marketing efforts including email, digital, social, print and events. Day-to-day tasks include writing marketing copy and executing global initiatives that build brand awareness and generate demand for our data and solutions.
Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy:

Be a strategic partner to Commercial and Product team members to develop annual marketing plans and write/produce marketing content and campaign assets aligned to the business' growth strategy.

Maintain a consistent understanding of our solutions and the competitive landscape to draft persona-based copy.
Team Leadership:

Line manager responsibilities for Marketing Coordinator AMER, including supporting them as they manage their projects, supporting initiatives led by you, also helping to develop their marketing and interpersonal skills.
Metrics & Lead Progression

Seek ways to improve key marketing metrics such as campaign response rates, event attendance rates, feedback scores, quality of leads, thought leadership awareness, new content/product/service introduction and adoption, and brand awareness building.

Maintain regular engagement with Commercial teammates to ensure they are fully enabled to follow-up marketing leads in a timely fashion.
Content Marketing
Digital & SEO

Optimize our digital footprint across all channels to ensure our content is discoverable and relevant to our customers' needs. Refresh digital campaigns to include remarketing, prospecting, and display advertising.

Utilize Marketo to build email campaigns that target segments and nurture leads towards conversion.

Leverage global content from internal leaders with vision and recommend new topics to enhance client and prospect engagement for our solutions.
Cross-team collaboration

Collaborate with teammates from the segment marketing Demand Generation teams to create and deliver segment-specific Credit & Risk Solutions campaigns.

Partner within our divisions; identify alliances and opportunities to collaborate.
What we're looking for:
Your Skills: You will possess B2B marketing experience and demonstrate a keen interest in financial services. Strong written and presentation interpersonal skills are critical, as is the ability to be a solid individual contributor. Strong leadership skills with the desire to help elevate your team and support their career progression. You have demonstrated the ability to craft compelling messaging and leverage the full complement of marketing channels. Familiarity with Credit & Risk Solutions products and Marketing Intelligence platforms is an advantage. Familiarity with Marketo and Salesforce is a plus.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred)

Minimum 5 years in a B2B marketing or communications role, or similar experience; financial services experience a plus

Foundational understanding of the industries and markets covered by S&P Global Market Intelligence

Strong ability to write persona-driven messaging that communicates solutions' benefits
-
Experience demonstrating digital, social, and event channels to drive B2B marketing campaigns
-
Strong presentation skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $67,600 to $190,100. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
