Job Summary:
The Marketing & Enrollment Manager of the Master of Science in Communication Program is responsible for managing the daily activities and systems of marketing, recruiting, admissions, and enrollment in a high touch recruiting environment. Under the direction of the Associate Director of Marketing & Enrollment Management, the Marketing & Enrollment Manager manages key aspects of the graduate admissions process and marketing strategy, including managing the application process, tracking, and reporting, conducting applicant interviews, managing online and in-person admissions and marketing events, building creative assets, managing an editorial calendar, creating content marketing, and supervising the in-house digital/social marketing implementation, and processing student enrollment. Regularly scheduled Saturdays and occasional evenings are required to support program activities.

Specific Responsibilities:
Admissions & Enrollment
- Serves as the first and ongoing point of contact for prospective students and effectively communicates merits, benefits, and requirements for admission to the program.
- Manages daily communication with applicants and admitted students.
- Assumes oversight and follow-through of the accepted student retention program.
- Assists international applications with additional application requirements such as navigating transcript services, the virtual open house, and video interviews.
- Manages CRM database and administers the online application platform to ensure effective pipeline processes of a large volume of applications annually.
- With discretion handle application files containing the personal information of applicants and students. Appropriately disposes of non-matriculating applicant information in accordance with University guidelines.
- Manages, schedules, and conducts admissions interviews for domestic and international students; evaluates and makes recommendations for admission.
- Enters and advances matriculating students into the university enterprise system (SES).
- Secures and distributes NetID information.
- Creates and presents admissions and enrollment analytics reports for MSC Leadership and SoC Administration.
- Designs and implements recruiting activities - including but not limited to open houses, webinars, information sessions, interviews, and class visits.
- Develops, plans, and implements engagement and retention strategies for accepted applicants
- Record interaction with prospective and current students in a timely, accurate and thorough manner in the school’s constituent relationship management (CRM) system.
- Segment prospect pool using a pre-defined quality index
Marketing Management
- Works closely with vendors and program marketing partners to implement marketing campaigns.
- Create and present analytics/reports for campaign and process evaluation to MSC leadership and SoC Administration.
- Manages program website updates, workshop websites and email marketing campaigns, and social network marketing campaigns.
- Creates and manages an editorial calendar.
- With proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, iCloud, and Mailchimp, writes and creates visually interesting content marketing and promotional creative assets—and adheres to the editorial calendar timelines and deadlines.
- Working with marketing partners, create and manage the student and alumni blogs.
- Create and manage program(s) newsletter.
- Create and develop various communication, marketing, and admission materials adhering to NU Global Branding policy.
- Trains CRM users as needed/appropriate.
Supervision
- Coordinates schedules for temporary/work-study students.
- Supervises and coordinates work for temporary/work-study students.
Miscellaneous
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as marketing, business, education, accounting or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of progressive experience in higher education program management, admissions, alumni relations, or marketing/recruiting.
- Previous experience working with graduate students.

- Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills. Communicates effectively in large and small groups, writes precise, well-organized emails, letters, and proposals without grammatical mistakes or spelling errors.
- Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize in an efficient and productive manner with superior attention to detail.
- Demonstrated project management experience. Ability to organize and manage workflow, develop sound work processes, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Facilitates open and effective communication, cooperation, and teamwork among all program constituencies.
- Working understanding of CRM and online application platforms.
- Exhibits energy and desire to achieve; takes action that has not been requested to improve or enhance job results.
- Understands the implications of professional development training and can implement new skills into work practices.
- Identifies opportunities to improve procedures and practices, shows imagination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree preferred in marketing, education, business, communication, or related field.
- Experience working with international students
- Working understanding of university and program-specific systems such as SES, People Soft, and Survey Monkey.
- Knowledge of Slate CRM, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, iCloud, WordPress and HTML coding preferred.

- Quantitative reasoning skills and ability to develop analytical reports
- Advanced interpersonal communication and interviewing skills
- Familiarity with communication and/or professional graduate programs
