40% You ensure events are accurate and available online according to marketing deadlines. Manage information received from faculty and ensure accurate representation in marketing materials. Ensure ICLE events are approved for CLE credit.
- Receive and enter data into a complex database, assess and resolve related issues, proofread, and seek approval.
- Report on receipt of important event information. Communicate and coordinate with multiple departments ensuring accurate information is posted online and in printed materials.
- Be a primary liaison between events team and marketing/design teams. Ensure everyone has accurate information and changes are shared. Includes attending meetings, generating reports, and providing frequent verbal and written updates.
- Ensure events are approved for CLE credit. Be an internal expert on CLE. Submit forms by deadline, track approvals, resolve issues, code and submit invoices for payment.
30% You provide basic copywriting, conduct interviews with Michigan lawyers, and create marketing result reports.
- Write and edit faculty biographies per template.
- Interview Michigan lawyers for promotional videos to be used in social media and other marketing channels.
- Help with data collection, report generation, meeting minutes, and basic analysis of findings.
- Track and summarize marketing trends based on customer behavior.
20% You ensure an exemplary event faculty experience from beginning to end of an event.
- Coordinate with multiple faculty across multiple simultaneous events to schedule planning meetings, conference calls, and Zoom recordings.
- Prepare faculty packets distributed at events.
- Manage logistics for event-related meetings held at ICLE, including food ordering and payment of invoices.
- Process event attendee evaluations, enter into database, proofread, distribute to faculty.
5% You assist Michigan lawyers and other professionals during registration at selected high-attendance events.
- Assist the events team at selected in-person events when additional staffing is needed. May include overnight stays based on event location.
5% Other responsibilities as assigned:
- Be the back-up for routine, Institute-wide administrative tasks. Serve on ICLE teams. Represent the marketing department at selected meetings.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field, or equivalent administrative assistant experience required
- Experience electronically entering detailed data where accuracy is imperative
- Experience with administrative support tasks such as scheduling meetings and conference calls
- Exceptional oral and written communication ability
- Able to work remotely three or more days each week
- Able for occasional travel in Michigan and to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Able to pass a work sample administered by ICLE
