Content Developer, Marketing Communications
Professional Non-Unit Position
This position will be partially remote (temporarily), with the ability to travel between Lynn and Danvers campuses as needed.
The Content Developer will be responsible for creating a variety of written, visual and video content for various media and channels to support the efforts of the college's Marketing Communications Department. This includes sourcing and developing stories about students, faculty and alumni; writing for web, e-marketing, digital advertising, video, and short and long print collateral; and, collaborating with designers and vendors to package copy and visuals for everything from CMS-generated web pages to Constant Contact eblasts to infographics and brochures. Provide SEO-optimized content with headlines, body copy, captions, call-outs, calls-to-action and, for online media, linkages that drive click-throughs and traffic to NSCC's website and landing pages. Work with designers, photographers, and videographers to ideate, conceive and brainstorm concepts for story-telling through copy, visuals and interactive assets, including staging photo shoots and/or scripting video content and planning appropriate usage across multiple channels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop student success stories and faculty/staff/alumni profiles through research and interviews and identify appropriate staging channels
- Manage photo and video shoots working with in-house team and external vendors
- Develop customized social media promoting recruitment and registration messaging, as well as "need to know" information for prospective and current students, faculty, staff, general college community and public;
- Write, launch and track emails using Constant Contact to prospective and current students and general college community;
- Write, edit and refresh content for CMS-generated landing pages;
- Works with the Executive Director and department staff to maintain policies of NSCC Marketing & Communications Department;
- Works closely with Executive Director and department staff on projects that support and maintain the College's brand online.
- Other related duties as assigned.

SALARY: Anticipated salary is $49,000 - $53,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience. - Excellent and accomplished writing, proofreading, and editing skills
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) highly preferred
- Expertise in writing, creating, and tracking Constant Contact emails
- Deep experience with writing, posting, and tracking engagement for major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, What's App, Snapchat, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Knowledge and experience with Google Analytics and ability to assess and articulate findings
- Photography and Photoshop experience
- Knowledge and familiarity with AP Style Book
- Experience with higher education preferred
- Ability to write to design formats. Familiarity with graphic design for digital and print mediums
- Familiarity with project management systems including Teamwork
- Adherence to deadlines and multiple production schedules
- Excellent focus and attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness and collaboration.
- Ability to receive good-faith project-related critique and editing from supervisor and/or content owners
- Must possess ability to analyze problems and to provide creative solutions
- Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations required
- Ability to commute between Lynn and Danvers campuses for program related activities.
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.
